USC Girls Lacrosse Defeats North Allegheny on Senior Night
Girls Varsity LacrosseThe Upper St. Clair Girls Lacrosse team hosted North Allegheny tonight as the team honored its 2025 Senior Class before the game started. After the opening faceoff, it was all Panthers as they took home a 18-5 win. Anna Capobres led the way, scoring 6 goals, while Riley Powell followed her with 4 of her own. Mea Musillo also had a strong game as she scored 3 goals and eclipsed 100 career points. Upper St. Clair now moves to 13-1 on the season and will be back in action on Monday when they will host Shady Side Academy.

USC Boys Tennis Advances to WPIAL Semifinals
Boys Varsity TennisThe Upper St. Clair Boys Tennis team punched their ticket to the WPIAL Semifinals today as they defeated Fox Chapel 3-2 in the Quarterfinals. Ari Plutko (6-1, 6-2) and Shawn Khurana (6-0, 6-0) each won their singles matches and the doubles team of Michael Barrie and Anderson Ploeger (6-7, 6-4, 6-3) won their doubles match. Upper St. Clair now advances to take on top-seeded North Allegheny on Monday with the time and location still to be determined.

USC Baseball Falls to Moon
Boys Varsity BaseballThe Upper St. Clair Baseball team took on Moon tonight in the second game of the series against the Tigers. The Panther offense struggled to string hits together as they fell 6-1. Josh Burlingame and Grayson Valancious both had multi-hit games and Burlingame drove in the lone Panther run. Upper St. Clair will return to the diamond on Thursday when they will host Morgantown High School in a non-section game.

Boys Varsity LacrosseThe Upper St. Clair Boys Lacrosse team hosted Hempfield tonight and came away with a convincing 16-4 win. Nathan Haberman led the way with 4 goals and Oscar Leimkuehler and Evan Proud each scored 3 goals in the win. The Panthers now move to 8-6 on the season and will be back in action on Friday when they will host Pine Richland.

USC Baseball Takes Opening Game Against Moon
Boys Varsity BaseballBrayden Wells threw another gem last night as the Upper St. Clair Baseball team grabbed a big section win against Moon, 4-1. Wells threw a complete game, allowing only 1 run, while striking out 4. Nico D'Orazio went 2-4 and scored a run and Tanner Schroeck went 1-3 with 2 RBIs to lead the Panthers offensively. Upper St. Clair now moves to 9-5 (5-4) on the season and will be back in action today when they will host Moon at Boyce-Mayview Park.

Boys Varsity VolleyballThe Upper St. Clair Boys Volleyball team traveled to Bethel Park last night and came home with a 3-0 sweep of the Blackhawks. Everett Janz led the way with 9 digs and Aidan Chambers followed him with 8. Aden Shah led the Panthers on offense, hitting .818 on the night. The Panthers now move to 5-5 (4-3) on the season and will be back on the court on Thursday when they will travel to Peters Township.

Caroline Barnard went 3-3 with 2 doubles and Kenzie Pope went 2-4 with an RBI, but the Panthers ultimately fell 9-2 to the Lions. Upper St. Clair now drops to 7-7 (2-7) and will look to bounce back on Wednesday when they will host Montour.

Boys Varsity TennisThe Upper St. Clair Boys Tennis team hosted North Allegheny today for their final match of the regular season. The doubles team of Anderson Ploeger/Michael Barrie picked up the lone Panther win as the team suffered a 4-1 loss. Upper St. Clair will now turn their focus to the WPIAL Team Championships as they will host Kiski Area High School on Monday in the First Round. The match is scheduled for a 3:30 pm start.

Three Panthers recorded multi-hit games as Nora Stutzman led the way going 2-4 with a double and a triple, Kenzie Pope went 3-4 with a triple and an RBI, and Caroline Barnard went 2-3 with a double as well. The win brings the Panthers record to 7-6 (2-6) and they will be back in action on Monday when they will host South Fayette.

USC Track and Field Wraps Up Section Play
CoEd Varsity Track And FieldThe Upper St. Clair Track and Field team wrapped up section play yesterday with a meet at Baldwin High School. The girls team had a strong day as they defeated Bethel Park, West Mifflin, and Baldwin, but lost to Mount Lebanon. The girls finish their section schedule with a 5-1 record and improve their 3 year record to an impressive 15-3. On the boys side, the Panthers took down Bethel Park and West Mifflin, but lost to Baldwin and Mount Lebanon, finishing their section schedule with a 3-3 record. Upper St. Clair will return to action at the South Fayette Invite on Saturday, while also awaiting the release of the WPIAL Playoff brackets, which are set to be released later this week.

The Upper St. Clair Boys Basketball team will be hosting their annual Tip-Off Tournament this Friday and Saturday. The Panthers are scheduled to play Kiski Area High School on Friday at 7:00 pm and will play either Bethel Park or Seton LaSalle on Saturday at 2:30 pm. USC Rowing Competes at Head of the Ohio Race
The Upper Saint Clair Rowing Association crew had a fantastic experience and outcome at the recently concluded 2024 Head of the Ohio Race, also popularly referred to as HOTO, on Sunday, Oct 6th, 2024. HOTO is a premier rowing regatta held annually on the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh. It attracts competitive rowers from across the country, ranging from high school teams to elite rowing clubs and universities. This year the USC Rowing crew teamed up with Pittsburgh Rowing Club (PRC) rowers and won several races, including several top finishes, as the crew navigated the challenging 2.6-mile course through the heart of the city with stunning backdrop of Pittsburgh’s iconic bridges and skyline.
