Offense Propels USC Softball to Section Win over Thomas Jefferson

The Upper St. Clair Softball team traveled to Thomas Jefferson today for a section matchup with the Jaguars. After taking down Peters Township in a pitcher's duel on Friday, the Panther bats came alive today as they defeated the Jaguars 10-6. Elisa Tucker led Upper St. Clair with three hits while Ava Pries also recorded a multi-hit game. Syd Fisher, Sarah Robert, Maggie Dowds, and Marissa Nochese all drove in runs in the fourth inning which saw the Panthers break out for four runs. The Panthers now move to 6-3 (3-2) on the season and into a tie for second place in the section. They will look to continue their winning steak on Wednesday when they will welcome Moon to Boyce-Mayview Park. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
